Chiquita Books-LaSure

Subcommittee on Health, House Committee on Ways and Means

Chiquita Brooks-LaSure joined the majority staff of the Ways & Means Committee in October 2007 where she focuses primarily on Medicare Advantage, Part D, and health care reform.   Prior to joining the Committee, Chiquita was a Director at Avalere Health, a strategic advisory group that advises clients on health policy.  From 1999 to 2003, she worked at the White House Office of Management and Budget where she advised OMB and White House policy officials on Medicaid and SCHIP waivers, the uninsured, and Medicaid reform.  Chiquita received her AB from Princeton University and her MPP from Georgetown University.
